Years 1 and 2

Basic Medical Sciences

Regional Anatomy, Neuroanatomy, Biochemistry, Histology, Embryology, Genetics, Physiology, Pathology, Microbiology, Immunology, Pharmacology,  Lab Techniques, Ethics, Jurisprudence, Epidemiology/Public Health, Research, Physical Assessment, Diagnostic Assessment.

  • Naturopathic Physicians Licensing Examination I (NPLEX 1): Standardized national exam covering all basic medical sciences.

To become a naturopathic doctor (ND) we complete a rigorous 4 year doctorate program in naturopathic medicine from one of only 5 accredited naturopathic medical schools in the United States.  See below for curriculum details.

Since naturopathic medicine is not YET standardized across the U.S. not all naturopathic doctors are trained in the same rigorous manner so please keep this in mind when searching for a naturopathic doctor. Clinical Sciences and Clinical Rotations

Neurology, Endocrinology, Otolaryngology/EENT, Cardiology, Pulmonology, Gastroenterology, Gynecology, Obstetrics, Urology, Rheumatology, Dermatology, Sports Medicine, Emergency Medicine, Minor Surgery, Oncology, Virology, Medical Psychology, Pediatrics, Geriatrics.

  • Clinical Rotations with patients totaling a minimum 1340 hours
